Hi, I'm Sarah.

When I started homeschooling my son, my daughter had just been born.

She was colicky. He needed lessons. I was one person trying to do approximately four things at once.

I thought it would get easier once she got older. It didn't.

When my daughter turned three and I started doing preschool alongside first grade work, things got harder. She was into everything. I'd sit down to do a lesson with my son and she'd disappear into the next room. I'd go get her, come back, and he'd completely lost his train of thought.

The worst part wasn't the chaos. It was the feeling that neither of them was getting enough of me.

I knew there had to be a better way.

Before I became a homeschool mom, I spent years teaching in a Montessori elementary classroom. Twenty-five kids, all different ages, all different levels, learning in the same room at the same time. The secret wasn't separating them by age. It was finding topics they were all genuinely curious about. When kids are interested in something, they stay at the table.

I had been doing this for other people's children for years. So I started doing it for my own.

It worked.

I also spent those classroom years learning how children actually learn to read. I'm Orton-Gillingham trained, and that background shapes every reading resource I create. Getting reading right matters, and the research on how to do it is very clear.
